Bishop Porter served as a Pastor in the Church of God in Christ from 1986 to 1993. Later that year he founded and established the Abundant Life Worship Center, Inc. in Suitland, Maryland and in 2002 founded and established the Cathedral of Life in Temple Hills, Maryland where he serves as Lead Pastor.
